Tribological properties of SiC-B4C composite ceramics

Dr. Hideki Kita is a Professor of Department of Chemical Systems Engineering,in Graduate School of Engineeringof Nagoya University.He received his bachelor degree (1983), and master degrees (1985) in materials science and technology from Tokyo Institute of Technology.

His PhD was completed in ceramic materials and the engine applications in 1995 at Tokyo Institute of Technology.From 1985 to 2004, he worked for company, andconducted development and design for engine as a manager. After working for 8 years in the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST)asa research group leader,in 2012 he became a professor of Nagoya University.

His recent research interestsare tribology, and thermal managementtechnology including heat storage materials, and life cycle assessment based on exergy/entropy analysis. So far, he has published more than 204 papers and applied 341 patents.
