Dr. Ji-Guang Li is a Principal Researcher at the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Tsukuba, Japan. After receiving his Ph. D. in ceramics from Northeastern University (Shenyang, China), he moved to Japan as an STA Fellow (1999.3-2001.3) to work at the then National Institute for Research in Inorganic Materials under the auspices of the Science and Technology Agency (STA) of Japan, and was afterwards employed as a research scientist at NIMS. He is an author of 160+ peer reviewed journal papers, which have received 4000+ citations with an H-index of 36, 3 book chapters and books, and is a holder of over 20 patents. His primary research interest lies in optically functional inorganic materials, including phosphors, photocatalysts, and transparent ceramics.
